Emily is a northern Director with a passion for exploring the unsaid, devising and physical theatre. She is constantly looking for new ways to tell stories and connect with audiences. She finds stories most compelling when they emerge from collaboration and surprise, shaped by her varied experience across musical theatre, new plays, site-specific and sensory-led shows. Emily believes we are all storytellers, and that theatre thrives through creative collaboration.
Emily has trained at some of the UK's most prestigious institutions, including LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts), Little Angel Theatre and Drama Studio London. She has worked on a diverse range of productions, from experimental performances to large-scale shows, both as a director and a producer.
Throughout her career, Emily has been known for her innovative approach to theatre-making. She is particularly interested in the process of devising, and enjoys collaborating with actors and other creatives to bring new ideas to life.
